Billie Jean King, as she voiced the struggles she went through in her career as a tennis

player. She is one of the women who became a huge name in sports. Because of many

inequality problems in sports, women unfortunately don't get the same opportunities in

sports as men do. All people are equal, so women should be treated equally and have

the same opportunities in sports.

I know everyone here has seen sports on tv before. Raise your hand if when you

Inequality in sports exists in many, many different sports. One huge difference in

sports is the funding. There is unequal funding for women in both college and

professional sports. In college, female students make up 57% of the college student

population, but they receive only 43% sports opportunities. This may not seem like

much of a difference, but that means there are an average of 63,241 female …show more content…

going to the World Cup, but they were given only 500 dollars. It's unfair.

This is a huge problem that must be stopped. There are many ways you can help

stop the problem of inequality in sports. I know you don't provide the funding for sports,

but you can help this problem in ways other than money. A way you can help solve the

problem of inequality in sports is to support female athletes. You can support female

athletes in many ways. One way you can support female athletes is to spread the word

of this problem. I know some of you like to talk. A lot. Sometime, when you are talking to

someone, bring up the topic of inequality in sports. Another way you can support female

athletes is by watching sports with female athletes. When you're watching television

some time, turn on the WNBA instead of the NBA. This is one example of many

programs with female athletes. You can also attend a female sports event, if that's what

you would prefer. Any way to show your support towards female athletes. These are
