She was always very close with Juliet and shared so many close ties with Juliet. The Nurse was willing to help Juliet in her marriage with Romeo and not sharing it with the rest of their family. Even though the Nurse seems to not be an example of a selfish character, she too was. The Nurse had suggested to Juliet that she marry Paris knowing how deeply Juliet loved Romeo. This was an example of selfishness because the nurse was thinking that it would be easier for her to hide Juliet’s relationship and still chose to recommend marrying Paris. This was proven and explained from the decreasing chemistry between Juliet and the Nurse. After observing multiple examples of selfish characters, it displays the characteristic of selfish among the characters in Romeo and Juliet. The characters tended to show some selfishness in multiple aspects.
