To promote inclusion, equality and diversity with students, they need to be put though an initial assessment to find any difficulties that may hinder their learning.
Almost every student will have some kind of difficulty within their learning, weather it is financial, cultural, travel problems or learning difficulties, these need to be taken in to consideration and dealt with in the correct manner to be overcome in a satisfactory way. If a student had learning difficulties, I would have to find an organisation with the help needed for the individual. The LEA may have a resource contact with the correct help available.
The learning however needs to be available to all regardless of race, religion, age, disability, gender or learning difficulties, and accommodating differences within the students by maybe changing handouts and finding other resources suitable for the differences.
Promoting equality by finding out about different resources or outside help which an individual may need is essential to the student being part of the learning and getting individual inclusion within the class. A student may have dyslexia and need to use coloured paper or have coloured overlays for reading, finding which colour is best for them.
Diversity is about realising people’s
