I was officially an elementary kid and out of the preschool and kindergarten stages which meant I was a big kid now. First grade was a big deal to me and it didn’t really hit me before that I would soon become a nervous wreck. Later in the day we had lunch and sat by each other again and we also traded our lunches. We talked and talked about anything and everything. I learned a lot about her including her name, Aedrea, which was a pretty big name to remember in first grade. Aedrea told me about her pets. She had two dogs, Lilly and Blanche, some gerbils, and a cat named Sally. I told her about my pets and it turned out the both of us as well as our parents were big dog lovers! We also talked about our families and our favorite things to do. It came to be that we had a lot of things in common. After lunch we had recess and we played over on the monkey bars and on the
