Red, White, and Blue flowing with the wind in giant strides, great cabin outdoor feeling, children shouting in parades, fireworks throughout the sky, streamers blowing in the wind, and blasting music sounds like any celebration that will put joy on someone's face. However, the Fourth of July is more than just the nation's birthday. It is the countless number of friends joined with family, perfect weather, the backyard barbeques, and the brilliant fireworks that light up the night sky. No other holiday makes me feel the same as they do on the Fourth of July. On the Fourth of July, our friends and family join together for parties, barbeques, carnivals, and picnics. While everyone is doing there own thing there's always a couple people who love to go out on the boat to tube and play in the water. Tubing is one of the main things I see on the lake every time I walk outside at the cabin and look out on the lake. There is kids tubing on the lake while the parents stay back and watch the great view or go fishing. The rest of the family is getting ready to go to the big carnival event with their friends and family. While some of us stay back at the camp grounds and enjoy the outdoor woods, the majority of us love to go to the downtown carnival or festival where everyone from that small little town comes together for the day of the Fourth to get some great, delicious carnival food and enjoy the sketchy carnival rides while meeting up with old friends. The scorching sun has all the children running around in thirst, asking their parents for money to get food, drinks, and tickets for rides at the carnival. While the children have the time of their lives, moms and dads relax by the pool making delicious burgers and hot dogs. On the Fourth of July, a glass of ice cold lemonade is poured into a large pitcher for all the kids to share before the freezing ice cubes melt after being left in the steaming sun.
