Freshman Year Narrative

Freshman year was probably the most difficult of the three years. The transition from middle school to high school was not as easy as everybody claimed it was going to be. The plus was my best friend and baking buddy were here with me. The classes were the time I actually had a sort of hard curriculum. I was in Mrs. Ballard’s English class, which I struggled with and eventually dropped out of. Later that year, my uncle died. I have never had to deal with something so painful. It wasn’t something that I could just brush aside and forget about, it consumed my life for a while. I used school to occupy me while I denied what was happening. After that, I found out my best friends was moving back to Colorado in the summer. I reunited with my best friend from third grade, which I probably wouldn’t have done if my other friend didn’t move. I made friends that I hope I will get to keep for the rest of my life. Those people impacted my life more than they know and they are great people that I had the pleasure of meeting and becoming friends with. I love my friends with all of my heart and I am so thankful that they came into my life. I don’t know why it happened, but I am glad that it did. I had Mr. Erickson for chemistry and he was one of the best teachers I have ever had. (He also introduced me to Bones, which I quickly became addicted to.) I took my first AP class with Ms. Dale and loved it. Sophomore year was the least chaotic of the three. This summer I started volunteering at Agoura Hills Animal Hospital, which reignited my desire to become a veterinarian. Junior year is insanely stressful, it’s not even funny.
