Romeo and Juliet Case Brief I was called to this case to investigate the murder of two teenagers that took place on April 10th 1524. The victims are 13-year-old Juliet Capulet and 16-year-old Romeo Montague. Upon arrival, he came across deceased Count Paris just outside of the tomb with severe fighting wounds. Inside, I found poisoned Romeo laying beside Juliet, heavily impaled, alongside the poison bottle and dagger. With the information collected, I have concluded that Friar Lawrence is the cause of Romeo and Juliet’s deaths because he provided and led them into making a plan which prompted their deaths. He knows and expresses to himself how he knows the marriage will end, and how he feels it is not right, but he marries them anyways. “These violent delights have violent ends And in their triumph die like fire and powder, Which, as they kiss, consume.” (2.6 9-11). By marrying the children, he creates problems for them that cannot be easily fixed.
