Genetically modifying animals for food production has been around for about thirty years but has grown to be more popular. Some of the benefits are as followed; animals are engineered to grow quickly, eat less, produce more nutrients, reproduce faster, and to be more resistant to disease. The benefits seem to be promising, but the deficits outweigh the benefits. How is altering are food in an unnatural manner healthy for humans? It is not. Trying to mass produce genetically modified animals is completely unnecessary because there is no food shortage in the world. Mass producing will more so be wasteful, when modified animals are released back into the wild they are less likely to survive and reproduce. I firmly believe that genetically modifying …show more content…
The worst part of the matter is that the animals are taken out of their environment and treated to benefit humans and die. I would be able to reason better if animals were being treated in order to survive within their realm. Allowing humans to take these animals out of their natural habitat and alter their genetic make up for the primary benefit of feeding humans is unjust and greedy. These animals are surviving on Earth just as humans are, and they are being robbed of their lives. Many animals are not equipped and evolved as humans are but, modifying them to reproduce more and efficiently is unhealthy for any creature. Any sort of unnatural enhancement is not benefitting any organism, and will lead to malfunction or death. Unfortunately, humans reign over every being and have the ability to manipulate innocent creatures that seem to be valuable human life. I believe that every being should live just as God has made it, without potentially harmful
