Gerontologists tends to the older people in our population to help regain their social skills, help bring them into the right state of mind, and help them feel young and healthy once again. A gerontologist will work with physical, mental and social health of an elder. Watching them grow and become healthy again would be heartwarming to the friends, family, and the gerontologist working with them. A rewarding feeling will come once they have been helped and improving. Watching them turn back into the adult health state, mentally and physically, and becoming social will be a joyful experience. According to Ferguson you should: ”Take four years of math, english, and science classes. Biology, chemistry, and physics are particularly important to take. Study a foreign language, and if your high school offers it, the language you should take is Latin.” (Ferguson’s, 92) These are classes that should be taken, experience needed, and skills that are mostly needed for gerontology. High class organizations can be useful for computing, community services, offices, research, and more specialize or regular education. Also people focusing on Gerontology should also take classes in mental health, social skills, aging, and physical health. These are important skills to have considering this is the foundation of gerontology.
