College. College can be an incredibly stressful and hard choice for people, especially when they are rushed into such a big decision as that. The pressure of college for teenagers can be a very intimidating thing to think about for them. Let’s think about it, you’re about to choose course that you will more than likely spend 4 years on whatever career choice you chose, and then find a job that you will most likely be doing for the rest of your life. This can be a very scary thought for teenagers who are very unsure about what they want to do with their career. Especially for seniors who have not decided yet. Perhaps we put too much pressure on teenagers to go to college and get a higher education. People seem to forget that there are still jobs out there that do not require a four-year degree. Also, even if you have a 4-year degree it is still difficult to find a job. …show more content…
Parents, teachers, advertisement, and culture all make it seem as if teens do not go to college and get a higher education, they will end up working for a fast food chain for the rest of their life earning minimum wage. People tend to look at college as the only way they’ll ever be able to get a “real” job. This is not true however. There are plenty of jobs out there that do not require a bachelor’s degree. Some of these jobs include, Law enforcement, Web development, first responder, medical assistant, Personal care aide, Veterinary technician, commercial pilot, these are just a few examples of the many job opportunities out there that do not require a college
