1. A challenge that I faced in the previous weeks was trying to motivate a gymnast who did not want to do any of the activities. Every time I proposed an obstacle to do, he would just lay on the ground and not respond. Unfortunately, this gymnast was bigger than the previous ones I have worked with, so I was not able to pick him up and physically move him to the next destination. Finally, I just sat next to him and ask him what was wrong. He told me that he was just tired, and needed a drink of water. After taking a five minute break, and going to the water fountain, he agreed to do a few stations before the session ended.

It may seem strange, but one success for me was when I found myself in the awkward situation with the gymnast’s reason for not being allowed on the computer. I believe if this were to happen a couple months early, I would not have reacted the same way. I am positive I would have laughed, and not handled the situation appropriately or professionally. Working with these gymnasts has made me more understanding, and even more mature. I am very grateful for this because this not only helped me in that situation, but will help me throughout life. Another success is with me personally. Last blog I mentioned that I was starting to come out of my shell and not feel embarrassed while doing activities that are goofy. I also mentioned that I was a little reserved at times because of stress. Now though, I have been getting my homework done before the sessions so that I can devote all my attention to the gymnasts. It has started to make a noticeable difference. I am connecting with most of the kids I work with a lot better. They seem to be having more fun, while also listening to my instructions. This creates a positive and fun environment for both parties involved, and everyone has a good time. All it took was a little attitude adjustment from
