The average high school graduate GPA would be between 2.6 and 3.0. With seniors graduating soon I would think the motivation level would be medium since most people want to get good grades, while others would just be happy to graduate with passing. With seniors, the most important thing would be for them to graduate, there would be many opportunities in the real world like college, the military and even the work force. Going to college can mean continuing with a higher education after high school and going to the military can mean serving your country or can be a stable job. Also, joining the workforce could mean you getting ready to learn new skills, create goals and get ready for another step in life. Many factors that could influence a high …show more content…
For instance, “a commitment to higher learning that can make a student more competitive in the job market and qualify for careers” (“U.S. Career Institute going to college after high school”). Going to college to pursue higher learning can be beneficial when a degree shows how qualified you are with how much you’ve learned along the way. High schoolers can get influenced by how competitive the job market is, but if you go to college, it could make you more appealing to a job rather than someone with only a high school diploma. The evidence could show that the many opportunities and a chance to learn more is important to help you better understand how an average student could get a chance to explore and “climb the ladder.” For example, “man employers require two- or four-year degrees before they’ll consider job applicants for hire” (“U.S. Career Institute (USCI high school”).
