A major step in life is, graduating high school, not only does one start your life but they are figuring out who the student really is and what they want to be. Not everybody has made up their mind about what they want to do for the rest of their lives. In the article, “Not Going to College, is a Viable Option,” Lawrence Schlack states “There are plenty of honorable and viable choices for the year after high school” (6). From reading Schlacks article it has opened my eyes to many different options for my life choices. Major big life decisions come into play after high school because now adulthood has kicked in, and you have to go to work or continue schooling. I also have faith in working in a Long Term Care facilities taking care of patients. With the classes I took in high school it helped me a lot, and it continues to give me more opportunities. I plan on taking my exam at the end of the school year; the test will go over how to help a resident, how to support them in activities of daily living, and the full range of motion. Also, I would need to discuss my plans with my parents. They are a separated couple, so I will have to make two different conversations. I will be going over the classes I will take and how those classes will help me. The money talk can not be avoided, so I will be providing them with information about my financial range. I will be living at my mothers house which is my primary house and I will be helping her with groceries and some little things. I would also like to save money every month so that I can start saving for my own apartment. Lastly, I would like to get more experience in the career I want. I will be volunteering at many long term care facilities and keeping the residents occupied. When I go to apply for jobs they will see how much I dedicate my time and how much I am dedicated in this
