King was shot in Memphis at the the Lorraine Motel. King lead a striking sensation workers in a march in Memphis the march erupted in violence. So he said himself we’ve got to give ourselves. Struggle until the end King believed because of the struggle in Memphis it exposed the need for economic change. King’s murderer was convicted and sentenced to 99 year’s in prison he later died in 1998 due to liver failure. King’s killer name is James Earl Ray, he deserved what he got. He stopped a man from making a change only a change that his opinion took place of. Instead of stopping Dr. King movement he actually made it leap forward. By killing Dr. King people who were first scared to march and make a change came out and started to speak up. His death hit the African American community harder than anybody ever suspected because of his influence over the young men and women. Even in today's day and time Dr. King is still influencing the African American community and maybe not as noticeably other communities as well.
