Would there even be a civil rights movement without Martin Luther King Jr.? The person I picked showed moral courage by putting their life and reputation at risk to help and get equal rights for all african americans. I chose Martin Luther King Jr. as my person that shows moral courage because there were many death threats aimed towards him which did not stop him from doing what he felt so strongly about. The main thing that got him to where he got was being civil which made him very respectable to all races of blacks and whites. He also was a pastor and his religion was important as anything because he had read and based all of his beliefs off the bible. He wanted life to be better and equal no matter what anybody's race is. Without Martin Luther King Jr.’s actions the Civil Rights Movement probably would not have even been brought to attention or been started. King helped organize “sit-ins” where groups of blacks refused to move from restaurants and white sections.
