Recruitment can also be called as planning. Here, as a part of creating jumping frog it is important to know or identify every individual interest, knowledge in the field of origami. As Origami is a kind of field which involves creativity knowing one’s own skills as well as members of the group will benefit in the further steps. ii. Selection:
From the planning made it should be easy in selecting the individuals for preparing the jumping frog. The selection criterion includes the understanding level, previous achievements of each individual, interest and creativity in designing and completing the project. iii. Training:
Training is a vital asset in the human resource management. In the jumping frog project training has been provided in terms of lecturers, live examples and presentations. Physical training included various ways of designing, cutting, folding. From our project I learnt that training not only involves learning things but, executing them in the best possible way. iv. Performance Appraisal:
Performance appraisal or evaluation is another important step of human resource management. After completing the preparation of the frog and analyzing its jumping ability we can evaluate ourselves by comparing with others how well we performed. Taking feedback, correcting ourselves and considering these fats for the future helps us become more successful.
Which is the most important step? Each step has its own importance or value in creating the perfect frog or achieving any other goal. But, if I had to choose one most important step I would choose training as training is a step where we can develop and implement the skill. 2. Consider the jumping frog project completed in class. The four main steps in the training process are: i. Establishing a needs analysis:
As a part of the jumping frog project completed by me being a member of our group, I determined the importance of the analysis of the needs. As all the members of my group including me were new to the origami art gaining knowledge, understanding and implementing it skillfully was a major task. The main objective behind the training was not only improving individual performance but, also the group’s performance. ii. Developing the training program:
After determining and analyzing the needs developing them accordingly is the next step. Based on the description of origami given from lectures and live examples we developed the procedures and steps to be followed for making the jumping frog project successful. iii. Implementing the training program:
The main area to be focused as the effective actions is involved here. From the step by step procedures developed previously should be implemented in this step. In the jumping frog project the steps include cutting, folding, coloring, decorating and next followed by steps for making the frog jump. Implementing these steps in co-ordination to the group leads us to success. iv. Evaluating the training program:
Evaluating involves individual analysis of what we have learnt. In my opinion obtaining feedback from the group members and the trainer helps improve ourselves for the future projects. Considering the feedback if given a chance one should be able to complete the jumping frog project effectively. 3. Write a job analysis for a position with your group for either one of the group projects. Be sure to include job description and job specifications.
