Human Services Course Reflection

Now that I have had my first course in human services I ‘am more likely to pursue this major because it has a lot of benefiting factors. One of the primary reasons for pursuing my education in this profession is to be able to aid those in need in addition to growing as an individual. I think there are several ways to assist with the needs of society such as some of the methods I learned in this course. The most helpful portions of this class were the influences and approaches to conquering certain challenges that clients faced. I also learned the importance of being open to cultural diversity in today’s times as we’ll as the factors that are least influential such as International Changes, Regional Changes and Global Changes. One of the most popular influence that one has is presented by environmental experiences created by family, parents, siblings, teachers etc. In the introduction of the PowerPoint presentation titled “The Client” it covered six approaches to client’s problems,

The lessons and activities that impacted me the most is the learning activities, video selections and career essays. My preferred lessons were the career essays because it gave me the opportunity to explore more options that are available as a Human Service professional, the description of the position, average salary annually and the education required to complete the course.
