The victims are sold and broken down emotionally as their trust is broken. Many sex trafficking victims are mentally and physically abused and it takes a lot of effort to restore their health such as rehabilitation and counseling services or sometimes even residential housing if their families fail to provide them with proper care.5 Usually, sex trafficking victims suffer many different type of abuses as they are drugged to stay up and perform sexual activities as many times as they can, which is not healthy. Through the Trafficking Victim Protection Act of 2000, the congress’s goal is to eliminate human trafficking by creating grant programs for victims and law enforcement and creating new criminal laws.7 There are some other ways one can help prevent human trafficking. If one finds something suspicious or has a doubt that there may be forced sex or trafficking going on, one should immediately report it. One can do fundraisers, raise money, and donate it to any anti-trafficking organizations, where victims are helped. It is very important that all people stay careful about their
