I Am One of You Forever adds fantasy to reality to make us believe and apply to the readers emotions of what actually happened because we look into our fantasy to find truths, fantasy helps people cope with real world problems and to understand reality. Fantasy is the action of free imagination of the impossible. Reality is the true everyday world around you.
There are various levels of magic in I Am One of You Forever. The first magic level is “the world of the child’s receptive imagination is one of an easy and comfortable coexistence of the real and the fantastic, the natural and the supernatural, the ordinary and the legendary-- a world perceived as constantly undergoing fascinating transformations and transfigurations”(Campbell).
