This topic is controversial because of the fact that many terrorist acts are occurring around the world. For example, ISIS is one of the most known terrorist groups as of today, and they are implementing fear in many countries. ISIS originated in Iraq and Syria. Each passing day they are brutally killing many people including their own and those who do not follow their cause. With this in mind, there are many key points within the First Amendment, regarding to the freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly and the right to petition. Constitution is a breathing document that is extremely powerful and has three main functions. Those functions show the limitations on the amount of power someone or a government branch can have. Firstly, it creates a national government consisting of a legislative, an executive, and a judicial branch. Among the three branches there is a system of checks and balances. Secondly, the power between the federal government and the states is divided. Lastly, it protects individual liberties of American citizens. Our Founding Fathers purposely included these rights because those rights were the very things that the King of England took from his people. I believe that our Founding Fathers wanted our country to run by good morals. By doing so, any man and woman should have the right to choose any religion of their choice; however, they should still follow the rules and regulations set forth in the Constitution of The United States of America. The Constitution’s framework came about the history of the Founding Fathers which led its drafting. The limitations that were placed on the federal government and each of the branches were a reaction to the tyranny of British rule, especially the tyranny of the single monarch. Therefore, Donald Trump is just like the King of England, he will interpret the Constitution in his own wording where he will not have to answer to no one and make the laws as he go. Rutherford County, Tennessee, the Division filed a complaint and motion for temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction against Rutherford County, TN for violations of the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act (RLUIPA) 42 U.S.C. § 2000cc because the county refused to inspect for and issue a certificate of occupancy to the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro ("Combating Post-9/11 Discriminatory Backlash | CRT | Department of Justice," n.d.). Eventually, the opponents of the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro took their legal fight to shut down the mosque all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court.
