Conciliation did not work at all in World War II and it definitely would not work with terrorist groups such as ISIS. When your enemy is prepared to die for what they believe in, without any remorse of the countless people that they may have to kill along the way and how they would have to do it, the only way that it would be possible to defeat them is by going toe to toe with them on the battlefield. These residents of the susceptible countries and regions do not deserve to be murdered because of their spiritual beliefs. Practicing another religion other than those of ISIS is not nearly enough of a reason to warrant mass murder. The citizens of these countries not only deserve but need a government that can actually govern the people and be able to protect their utmost essential rights to live and the ability to practice the religion of their desire.
These explanations alone still may not persuade all American citizens that the U.S. should become convoluted with militarily matters regarding ISIS. Conversely, the U.S. will profit in my opinion by getting involved now. Fight ISIS right now or be forced to fight them in a few years when they are even stronger and have accumulated enough resources to be able to engage in and, quite possibly, win a prolonged war that goes across multiple
