Cause and consequence is useful when understanding the origin of world war one because it allows us to look at the causes of the event that started world war one, and the consequences. For instance, the event that took place was Serbia agreed to 2 out of 3 terms of the ultinatum that Austria-Hungary gave, thus Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia. The cause of this example is Serbia only agreeing to 2 out of 3 terms, and the consequence is war. Cause and consequence is also useful for examining the outbreak of world war one, because we can see how each events causes and consequences are related.
