The Great America, a country that embrace people from different background, race and gender. In this country people believe in the freedom, that everyone can speak and do whatever they want. However, this is not how America was in the beginning. Long time ago, America was colonized by several countries, and within those countries, two of them played a big part, the Great Britain and France. These two countries arrived America in the 16th and 17th century. They established government to rule the land, interact with the local, preached their religion to the natives, and evolve with the help of labors. The indentured servants were very much like African American slaves; both needed permission from the master for marry and getting punishment. Yet, they still have a chance to be release and become a free man. Some of the servants give out their freedom with a contract, after the contracted time, these servants will be free again. To illustrate, female was one of the weaker side in the slavery. Many females “was the rape of female slaves by their owners, in colonial Virginia the issue was so prevalent that King Charles II legislated against fornication with slaves in 1661” (Colonialism, Slavery, and Race). The female slaves were cheap considering their ability to give birth, and originally, they were brought to America to accompany the male slaves. “Under usual lines of succession in Britain the child should take the father’s status however due to the mixed race of the child this was reversed to ensure that the children would take the slave status of the mother” (Colonialism, Slavery, and Race), ironically, at some other countries, by raping the female slaves, it raised their statues and allowed their children to have more
