To obtain optimal patient care interdisciplinary collaboration is a necessity. Increasing the number of teams will not only improve patient treatment plans but save medical institutions money used on medical errors. However, before one can create such a team one must understand what collaboration means.
Depending on who you ask the definition of collaboration received will vary.
