People don’t much participate in politics, but their voices can be sent to the government and the lawmakers through Interest groups. They are the perfect groups which represent every voice matters. 1 “Over the last two years, lobbyists reporting spending $4.7 million on food and beverage for state officials and employees and their relatives and another $846,000 on entertainment such as concerts and games” (Ross Ramsey). With a tremendous amount of money being spent on lobbying, the government should consider adding some limitations and having an oversight to those interest groups having access to the larger funds. As the primary purpose of the interest is to gather quiet voice of people and carry it on to the government and policy makers, so during lobbying, none of the people or the society should be discriminated. Individuals who are the head of interest groups could misuse their position, and corruption could occur.
