A huge memorial was built on the beach for all voyagers to see as they passed. His soldiers that once fought for him rode around it and told stories about all of his courageous acts, like defeating Grendel and his mother, or when he killed the sea monsters during the middle of a race. Only heroes get remembered the way that Beowulf was. All in all I think that it is safe to say that Beowulf is truly considered a hero. He helped out a countless number of people risking his own life each and every time. He did not only do it for the fame, but for the need of the people. If he was needed he came and got the job done. Even after his death, he was still honored by many as his memorial was built. Every time that it is seen people still remember all the heroic tasks that he has
