Johnny Cade is a hero because he said,” I had to they were drowning you Ponyboy”. Ponyboy is a hero because he saved kids from a burning church and he treats everyone the same. Johnny is a hero because he doesn't think he just takes charge. Dally is a hero because he would take cover for you. These characters are considered a hero because of their actions.

A reason why Ponyboy is a hero because he thinks of everyone the same. In the book Ponyboy is a hero because,” He had went to a burning church to save kids”. Ponyboy and Cherry Have a normal conversation but there gangs are different.
