Issues that may occur with this type of study and practice can lead to long lasting harm. In Watson's study using an infant and rats, he causes the infant to become terrified of rats therefore cause a phobia that this infant may have the rest of his life. This takes into effect of training and studying humans and animals inhumanly. It is important that people and humans are aware of their surroundings and how to handle themselves however, there is a difference between training using the right and appropriate methods.

Asking the children questions can also help the students understand what classical conditioning is. Such as asking them about training animals. Going into depth about how the animal was trained, and what was the end result? This allows the children to focus in on the definitions of classical and operant
