Jackie Robinson was one of the greatest baseball players, yet he couldn't play in the major leagues because he was black. Jackie Robinson, an African American baseball player, broke the color barrier in Major League Baseball on April 15, 1946. Jackie faced many challenges while breaking the color barrier. While many things contributed to Jackie's success, the support from his friends, family, and fans was the most important.
