Antonio Adolfo was welcomed with a warm applause from every single person. He started the night with words of thanks to Miami Jazz Club for inviting him to participate in a very relaxing night. He introduced great musicians who played with him; Claudio Spiewak on guitar, Jamie Ousley on bass, Carlomagno Araya on drums and one special guest who announced after several songs. After a not long introduction, he started that quiet night with Brazilian jazz played by the greatest Brazilian composers from the beginning of the last century. He is also a great teacher, musician, and the head of department of saxophone at University of Miami. They met years ago, but they never had the opportunity to play together, and that night was their first time playing Brazilian jazz. They played a beautiful and popular song called Easy to Love composed by Cole Porter. Antonio Adolfo is a leal admirer of Porter’s music. This song recalled the sound of what Adolfo used to play in different nightclubs few years ago. The saxophone player performed the song masterfully. I could notice that he is an excellent professional because he had a special connection with the audience when he started playing and he showed uniqueness playing this gorgeous instrument. The saxophone player had more colorfully tones than any other instrument and his pitch and rhythms were very accurate. I was extremely attracted to the saxophone because I had never seen one before so
