In order to serve as a chapter officer, a member must attain at least a B-minus average or its equivalent for the previous term. As you read earlier, our commitment to academics is a principle on which we were founded and remains a focus of our organization. Chapter awards, scholarship dinners and acknowledgment of our members’ academic accomplishments motivate Kappas to attain their academic goals. Each chapter’s Academic Excellence Committee provides relevant programming as well as information about campus procedures for registration, schedule of classes, and the university’s grading system. Members of the committee educate chapter members about how to make the most of the academic resources on campus and serve as mentors for members who may require additional assistance.
