The story entitled “The Story of an Hour” written by Kate Chopin is talking about why a woman’s existence depends upon her relationship with the men around her. It is specifically about one woman’s process of dealing with death of her husband. Louise had a heart problem when the news comes to her that her husband was killed in a train accident. Three emotional states, and consequently life changing events affecting the woman are described in that story. In the first, the writer goes through her feeling when she was crying alone in her bedroom. Then, she thinks about her freedom and new own life. Finally, the author shows how she died when she saw her husband alive.
In the first, the writer shows what death means to Louise.
