Ken Blanchard grew up going to church and Sunday school every week, but it never really impacted his life. Throughout the years Mr. Blanchard began to drift away from the lord. A few years later he met his wife. After he wrote The One Minute Manager and it became extremely successful, suddenly he was hit by the obvious, that it was God that made his book popular on the top seller list. He began to read the bible and see that Jesus followed every characteristic he was taught of a leader. He realized that Jesus took people who were entirely incompetent and made them successful, and that he was the greatest leader of all time. Jesus follows each and every one of these traits. In class this week we are understanding the importance of Jesus and how his leadership characteristics play a role in our healthcare today. As a Christian we use Jesus’s leadership techniques to address issues and concerns everyday. An example of this would be in the Hospital setting, working at Regina we are a Christian based facility we use prayer and gods message to help to heal our patients. Through Jesus’s leadership techniques our deacons, pastors, and priests become omega leaders providing end of life prayers (the difficult things), they form a team overall taking action on how to help heal and provide comfort, and they pray for them (Jones, 1995a, pp. 25-28; Jones, 1995b, pp. 90-93; Jones, 1995c, pp.230-232). Mastering these qualities helps to show their leadership talent and how important they are in the healthcare field.
