Today violence has become a repetitive and unappealing trend in television networks. Many networks are under fire for programing choices that many disagree with. Among these networks one of the most violent is the popular Lifetime Movie Network. The program includes violent content, inconvenient scheduling, and lastly poor program warnings. To start off, the Lifetime Movie Network contains poor and violent content. The movie network runs dramatized programs that usually have very biased plots. These usually biased storylines seem to always contain an unfortunate woman protagonist that is abused by an antagonist male. An example of this would two of the many violent and theatrical movies called Stalked by My Doctor and Lying Eyes. These movies are both about a girl that is in a troublesome situation with a man that has some sort of mental flaw. These are only two out of the many movies that showcase and hook watchers with violent plots that contain very dramatized actions. Second, Lifetime Movie Network has very inconvenient show times. Appropriate ratings are needed so audiences can be warned and aware of what they will view in a movie. This can tell a guardian if a program is suitable for children, or even teenagers. Lifetime Movie Network does not directly list their movie’s ratings on the online schedule, but only sometimes before the actual movie. Most of the Lifetime Movie Network’s short programs are rated TV-14, or unfortunately not rated. When a program is not rated it does not give appropriate information about possible violence in a show or movie. Among the many movies that are not rated are The Good Mistress, A Mother’s Revenge, Vows of Deception, and No One Would Tell. These are also movies that contain a large amount of content that a child should not be exposed
