In 1997, Madeleine Albright gave a commencement speech at Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts. She made it clear that she wanted to lead women to act with courage, perseverance, and faith. She uses examples, repetition, emotion, and diction to convey her message to all the families, women, and young girls who listen. Albright uses examples at the beginning of her speech.
