Major Personal Obstacle

Prioritizing
A major personal obstacle I have to overcome to make school a priority is my job. I will not have anything if I do not attend work. I still have to take care of my family while I am in school. Before starting online courses at Grand Canyon University, I bought a laptop. I am currently paying on it monthly. If I lose my job then I cannot afford to pay for the laptop, internet connection, and other features that are required for me to complete school. There are times when I cannot afford to pay the monthly bill of internet connection. Most times I would walk to the library or go to McDonalds.
I decide my priorities by first going to work and getting my shift complete. While at work when I have no customers I log into LoudCloud and answer post. Secondly I start to recognize what is needed for my child. This includes daily activities such as her meals, bathing her, and organizing her for the next day. Finally, I tend to my needs. There is no way that I could see myself being successful with school without having to make work a major priority. A strategy that I can use other than putting my family first would be to begin school work early in the morning before having to leave for work. Now to think about it I feel that this would be a great idea. With the strategy of doing homework early in the morning before it is time for work will give me more time to do other task such as tend to myself and my child in the afternoon. Prioritizing my academic responsibilities will contribute with college success by keeping organization Key. If I keep good time management skills and get word done before the deadline I have set for myself, it will allow me to keep a decent schedule.
