She was educated in household chores, reading, writing, and mathematics. Martha Washington is an American Revolution hero who played an important role during the Revolutionary War because she was willing to help wherever they needed her.

During the war, Martha Washington’s role was to take care of General Washington. Even though she did not want to, she was forced to take on a public role as a symbol of the patriot cause.
