We see the biggest development of this in WWI when the government purposefully developed such media for their own people and for their enemies. These drawings of cartoons and sayings such as “Uncle Sam Needs You” made our people even more intrigued in the pursuit of war. Propaganda was a part of media that developed a lot of attention and some was not all good. After reading the motivational words that the propaganda shown and the encouraging gestures, many Americans felt enthused and ready to defend their country, but this was just another way to inform Americans about the war they had in front of them. Many Propaganda adds were used to distill fear or guilt in people’s eyes. Those who felt guilt and either joined the war or provided help in supporting it rather than joining on their own terms.
