The second person I chose to interview was Bjorn, the supervisor of Respiratory at Los Alamitos Medical Center. He has the same position as Frank, but in a different department. Bjorn has had this position since April of last year. He was also promoted when Renee was hired because she restructured her entire service line. Bjorn is currently obtaining his Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration at University of Phoenix. He began going to college when he was 18 years old, but stopped going because he didn’t feel it was beneficial and wanted to become a respiratory therapist. He told me that would be the easiest way for me to obtain a job. He suggested that I connect with them on LinkedIn as well as take down their emails. Bjorn also added that I should make it known throughout the hospital that I am actively searching for a job because I am graduating soon. In addition to telling them I am done soon, he said that I need to highlight that I am getting my masters as soon as I complete my bachelors. Bjorn believes that will be one of my best selling points since I don’t have healthcare related experience. He also recommended that I carry a copy of my resume and some business cards around with me wherever I go.. Furthermore, Bjorn was very appreciative of how well I was doing at my internship. He said it was nice to see how much I have opened up since I started. He thinks I will excel in the healthcare world because I am intelligent, hard working, and charismatic. Another valuable learning experience from this interview was that Bjorn asked me questions he asks during interviews. I mentioned to him that I have never really had an interview before, and he wanted to show me what it was like. The questions that he asked me weren’t very hard, but I can see them being challenging if I was nervous. He reminded me to just be myself during any interviews and not to worry. All in all this interview was very helpful and I am going to continue interviewing other healthcare professionals that I
