“The U.S and Mexico Border Wall”
Today, in our society, one of the main issues is illegal immigration. There are a lot of ideas floating around how to stop the illegal immigrants from coming to the USA. One such idea is building a wall between Mexico and the U.S. The assumption goes that most illegal immigrants are jumping the border from Mexico and staying here illegally. We hear and see it almost every day on the news. Our President Trump is talking about it, and even average people are talking about it. However, these people fill and fix many labor shortages in the United States. Are these maybe examples of stealing American jobs? I don’t think so. These illegal immigrants who come to America are most the people who want to work in order to support their families here and countries they came from. It is lucrative even for business owners to hire illegals as they don’t have to pay them the same wage as a legal resident, and they don’t have to report that income to the IRS. According to Immigration and Customs Enforcement, they have been made nearly 9,000 arrests in 2007 and 2008 so far (Paris
