Good afternoon classmates.
I am here today to show you how the best things in life are not necessarily free. Money can buy happiness because without it, we would be miserable. Let’s be honest, 99% of you guys would rather be rich, let alone financially comfortable, rather than struggling and poor, right?
In my opinion, money makes you happier, increasing your mood and whole life.
Keep on listening and you will understand how money can lead you to positive, full life.
Purchasing things can trigger a number of positive emotions. Not only items, spending money on experiences can create memories and other great things in life. Struggling with money can lead a person to an unhealthy mind and a life full of stress and misery.
Buying things can release happy chemicals in the brain.
‘Whoever said money can’t buy happiness didn’t know where to shop’- quote from Gossip girl.
MRI studier of the brain activity suggest that surges of dopamine levels are linked with the ‘anticipation of an experience’- which explains why people get so much pleasure out of shopping.
‘Researchers conducted hundreds of interviews at shopping centres. Those who said they were in a bad mood on their way were asked why they were buying things. 62% bought something to cheer themselves up and 28% indulged in form of celebration.
Shopping and buying things Is actually good for your mental and physical health. It releases mood-lifting endorphins, boosts your immune system, keeps your brain nimble and even fulfils basic social needs.
So it is scientifically proven that money can buy happiness.
Not only buying items, spending money on experiences can create memories and other great things in life.
Money can buy us a holiday. Within this holiday we experience fun and joy, it brings us closer together with friends and family, and it creates memories.
Most people try to deny, but we humans are constantly comparing ourselves to one another. Comparisons can often make us unhappy, but experiences are often immune to this as they are unique to us. Nobody in the world will have the exact experience you had with your family on that trip to Europe.
Money can buy us more than what meets the eye.
Struggling with money can lead a person to an unhealthy mind and life full of stress and misery.
Without money, what would we do? Imagine having just enough money to buy the bare necessities in life; food, water, not-so-decent shelter. You would not be able to buy nor experience any great things. Your life would be monotone, having to do the same thing every day all work no pay.
