The same webpage also reports that 12% of all websites are dedicated to pornagraphy as well as 25% of all search engine requests are in regards to pornagraphic content (“Internet Porn Statistics”). These statistics can provide a clear basis as to why it is detrimental to the wellbeing of our youth for movies to not provide that type of information. If movies allowed a lower rating while also allowing sexuality to be explored it would provide a much healthier outlook on sex. It would allow children to be more exposed to sex in a healthy environment like a movie theater where they can be surrounded by their peers or parental figures rather than alone behind a computer screen.
