The movie and game rating system is designed to give specifically rated movies a higher profit than others. For example a pg 13 rated movie will make more money than an r rated movie, but there are exceptions some m rated games and movies will make more but generally they favor a less mature rated film, because more families will want to see them. The most surprising thing about it all is that we still have the same rating system as we did in 1968. however a different video game with the same sexual scene made me a different/ bigger company can have the game rating lowered therefore allowing anyone to purchase the game. Games are rated starting with E,T,M,A these stand for everyone, teen ,mature, adult. Adult and mature games can not be purchased by anyone over 18 but kids can walk in with a parent or any adult and get the video game.There are many kids who still get there hands on (m) rated games because they can buy them from others or have adults buy them for them!
