Extracurriculars are proven to help students to learn “time management and stress management skills” (The Importance of...). So extracurriculars are clearly an important factor for students. Since moving school to later in the day, many parents will think that students will lose their time for extracurriculars. And to solve that, many people have fixed the problem by moving their extracurriculars to the morning hours. This would not only allow student to continue extracurriculars, but give them certain academic benefits, as well. In an article posted by Ben Shifrin, states that “physical activity warms up the brain” (Shifrin). So, if extracurriculars such as football or baseball take place in the morning, then students’ brains will be more prepared for their daily classes. Now imagine yourself again. You wake up at 7, and you make your way to your practice before classes. You reach your first period class, and your brain is ready to succeed in your daily academics. Since you finished your homework, and got more sleep, you were able to do well at your practice and your continued day. So if school starts later, students will get more sleep, they will still be able to participate in extracurriculars, and their brains will be more able to learn through the day. If schools moved the time back, then their students will be able to go forward
