My American Dream

A half a million dollars mansion with a 2015 brand new corvette and a job that will not affect the time I spend with my wife and kids, that is what I would say America is. This is what I expect for the future after I get my bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering at East Carolina University. Not many have this dream for their future, some just want to party, high school student think that is too big of a dream to reach. We all go thru that period that our future does not matter to us so we decide to dropout from high school just like our parents did or because we want our own place where there is no rules. This country needs people that would so a job like stocking cuts pig or chicken at a factory and make enough money to live a normal life not with everything but still have food in the table. Why would a teen ager at the age of 18 attend college to get a degree and have a depth when they get out from school. Many students attend college with their help of their parents, some parents are still paying loan from college, and many try to get help from the government like financial aid. What is the point in attending college if a student will have a depth of almost half a million dollars. According to Education Week a student that has a college degree will earn an estimate of $57,714 a year. When a high school student will earn an estimate of $21,629 free from paying school loans and not to worry about messing up their credit (Education Week). A high school dropout may be free from college loan but it will have a higher pay and as a student get more experience the more he will get pay. With a high school dropout as soon as he gets old and can’t do their job as when they were in their twenties, the company that he worked for would fire him. This goal can only be done by having the help from students, parents, and teacher to motivate so that we can have a better community. With the motivation of teacher a student can stop from dropping out from high school, parents can put more attention to their kids so that they don’t skip school. The main one is students cause without them putting their effort then the high school dropouts cannot be stopped. If the community does not help our US depth will increase, our unemployment will rise to the top, and our kids won’t have a better future.
