Be thankful for everybody in your life, good or bad, past or present. They all made you into the person you are today. The most beautiful people I have known are those who have experienced defeat, suffering, struggle, loss, and have found a way out if these depths. These people have an appreciation, and an understanding of life that fills with compassion, gentles and a deep loving concern.
Every struggle in my life has shaped me into the person I am today. I am thankful for the hard times that have made me stronger. I’ve felt the loneliness of long sad nights of not having my father next to my side. I have felt the great sadness of separation and the unparalleled joy of being reunited. In my life time, I have known the many joys of solitude, happiness, and beauty. Most of the barriers, we beat are head against and worry about, were put there by us. Only we can take them down. I’ve been distracted with life as I grow older. I’ve had great plans and goals but can’t seem to set aside time to work for them. Instead I do something meaningless. I’ve told myself “tomorrow will be a better day.” I’ve lost faith, been criticized for my everyday mistake. I’ve lower my expectations. As a result, I’ve brought these blockades to myself. Therefore, I overcome them. Those storms in my life have made me a strong individual. It takes time but I am stronger than ever. Life made me this way.
Sometimes people spend their lives looking for happiness when it’s right under their feet. I’ve feel I have failed running away, looking for a better life but never found it. The truth is happiness is where you are. It’s better to try and make the most of what you have, before trying to find happiness elsewhere. I learned to study the problems that pushed me away from my loved ones. It’s made me give unconditional love every day because of that love it’s made me find the love of a great guy. An authentic loving man who has opened up and openly expresses his feelings. Now I focus on things that no one can take away: education, self-esteem, heart, desire to win, work ethic, and respect. Life has showed me that we can’t always choose the situations we are in but, we can choose how to manage them. It’s not always what happens to us that matters, but what we do when it happens.
