During the first six weeks, my writing has shown an improvement. The first two-weeks showed a grown in writing process. I started to realize purpose and structure to write the perfect essay. I could give readers the ideas of my essay by giving the inspired motivation, the connective bridge, and the strong thesis in the introduction. As well as, I support the essay with more vivid examples and details in body paragraphs. In addition, my writing still not improve if without the help from enthusiastic professors and my kind friend. When I came to meet them, the professors, in writing center, I came to realize my real strength and weakness through their explanations and suggestions. For example, in the first essay, I could not finish the essay without the help of my friend and professor. They revised the essay multiple times; they gave me lots of advice. Because of their support, I could understand to write better; I could put more effort; I could express myself in the essay. …show more content…
I learned and understood more punctuation rules, such as subordinating conjunction, conjunctive adverb, preposition phrase, coordinating conjunction, etc. In addition, with the useful practice times with classmate in class and the qualify visits to the writing center, I feel confident more as when writing the essay. As well as, when I read the book “The Transition to College Writing” by Keith Hjortshoj, I got more important skills and knowledge to survive in college as in writing, reading, and taking note in different classes. For example, I know that students should not write down every single word of their teacher say, instead of that, students should listen to the teacher, and students should read the information they, the professor, present beforehand.
