Study of the New Testament
Why was it so important get The New Testament Gospels out to the people? Was it because they wanted to show the people during that time that Jesus was the Messiah and that he had come to do as the scriptures had said that he would come to do? Did they want to get information out to the people during that time as well as to the people of the future? The Gospel laid out the history of Jesus birth, ministry, death and even his resurrection. It also teaches us about other important events of Jesus present here on earth.
Luke said, “I studied it all carefully from the beginning. Then I decided to write it down for you in an organized way. I did this so that you can be sure that what you have been taught is true” (Luke 1:3-4). The New Testament was written about Jesus life and ministry this was called the Gospels. This information provides us with Jesus historical background, his character and his personality. According to Robert H. Gundry, (2012), “A Survey of the New Testament” Gundry says that the Gospels “Give us proclamations and instructions written from theological standpoints.” The Gospels help each of us to see Jesus characteristics from the eyes of others in ancient times.
