Nicotine and tobacco are among the leading causes of preventable illness. Tobacco contributes to the causes of cancer, chronic lung diseases, emphysema, bronchitis, heart disease and many other health issues. Tobacco is an addictive substance which consists of nicotine, very high amounts may result in serious health issues. The addictive nature of tobacco alters how your brain works and results to a huge crave of nicotine. With the high numbers of smokers all over the world, this property has contributed towards the difficulty in quitting smoking practices. This has resulted in people coming up with ways to solve this issue and improving healthy smoking behaviors. One of this way advocated is the e-cigarette.
E-cigarettes are a form of cigarettes that are battery operated. It consists of a liquid called eliquid that is heated to emit vapor. This is then inhaled. These products resembles cigarettes, cigars, pipes and pens. Clinical studies suggest that e-cigarettes are safer compared to those of tobacco. They are cheaper and their chemicals are known. For smokers who want to quit smoking this can be a great way to start the journey.
