The poem Woman which is one of my favorite poems of hers, is basically about a typically relationship between a man and a woman. Where woman desires support he will not give her. All of Giovanni poems all have one message, which is to become more independent and be your own woman. Not to base your life around a man. In the poem it describes how the woman wants to be a blade of grass. Then, her man would not be her dandelion. By using the words, “blades of grass amid the fields”
